COLUMBUS, Ind. – After a short pursuit, the Columbus Police Department (CPD) had to use a taser to apprehend Adam Reinbold, 23, of Columbus, on Wednesday morning.
Officers reportedly observed a vehicle near 7th and Chestnut Streets driving at a high rate of speed, so police pursued. CPD says the suspect disregarded a stop sign at the intersection of 7th and California Streets and continued driving east.
The driver eventually pulled the car over near 7th Street and Werner Avenue and exited the vehicle. During the traffic stop, Reinbold allegedly repeatedly put his hands in his pants pockets and the officers utilized a Taser to take him into custody.
Reinbold was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail where he was remanded on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, resisting law enforcement, and criminal mischief.
