COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus police officers had to use a taser to apprehend Adam Reinbold, 23, of Columbus on Wednesday morning after a short pursuit.
After officers reportedly observed a vehicle near 7th and Chestnut Streets that was not moving, the driver was identified as Reinbold, and a short time later, he started driving at a high rate of speed, and police pursued. Reinbold reportedly disregarded a stop sign at the intersection of 7th Street and California Street and continued driving east.
He eventually pulled his car over near 7th Street and Werner Avenue and exited the vehicle. During the traffic stop, Reinbold repeatedly put his hands in his pants pockets and the officers utilized a taser to take him into custody.
Reinbold was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail were he was remanded on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, resisting law enforcement, and criminal mischief.
