COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Police Department (CPD) arrested Gregory Louden, 38, of Columbus, late Monday night after pulling over his car because its taillights were not working. Officers say the driver was acting suspiciously and they suspected he gave them a false name.
During the traffic stop, law enforcement brought a canine to the scene and the police dog alerted to the smell of narcotics coming from the vehicle. CPD searched the car and allegedly found methamphetamine and heroin near where the suspect had been seated. Police also confirmed two body attachment warrants and an out of county warrant for the man’s arrest.
Louden was taken into custody on preliminary charges of possession of meth, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, two Bartholomew County warrants, and a Jennings County warrant.
