COLUMBUS, Ind. – A local woman was killed in a motor vehicle crash on Thursday afternoon near Edinburgh, according to the Bartholomew County Coroner’s Office. The multi-vehicle accident, at U.S. 31 and Eisenhower Drive, was reported to the Bartholomew County Emergency Operations Center around 4:50 p.m.
The Bartholomew County Coroner’s Office was called to the crash, and Dorothy Wagner, 74, of Columbus was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Clayton Nolting. The cause of death was massive blunt force trauma.
Wagner was reportedly driving a Honda Civic that collided with another car that was stopped for a traffic light. The accident is being investigated by the Edinburgh Police Department, with reconstruction being done by Indiana State Police.
