GREENWOOD, Ind. – Members of the Greater Greenwood Chamber of Commerce and the Johnson County Development Corporation (JCDC) officially approved their merger on Thursday. Representatives from both organizations came together to officially launch Aspire Economic Development + Chamber Alliance. The new organization holds the aspiration to drive economic growth throughout Johnson County.
“Economic development and the process of attracting new businesses has changed,” said Pat Sherman, chairman of the board for JCDC. “Johnson County and areas just south of Indianapolis mean business, and this union better positions our region to attract companies considering growth or expansion.”
According to the new organization’s release, chambers and other development agencies across the county have been combining forces to amplify the reach and impact of their complementary efforts.
