INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Amanda Wuestefeld, who has worked full-time in the DNR Division of Fish and Wildlife for more than 25 years, was promoted to division director this week as reported by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
Wuestefeld, who grew up in the Jennings County community of Commiskey, has served as the assistant division director for the last five years. Prior to that, she was the Hoosier Outdoor Heritage coordinator for eight years. During her time she has helped launch the division’s first hunting recruitment program, which has introduced a lot of young adults to the sport. Her career with the DNR dates back to the ’90s when she started as a college student in 1991.
“It has been an honor to work beside some of Indiana’s most dedicated staff at DNR and I look forward to this next chapter in my career,” Wuestefeld said.
