MORGANTOWN, Ind. – Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an off-road vehicle (ORV) accident which led to the arrest of Tracy Luckey, 24, of Nineveh.
Luckey was operating an ORV on private property in a wooded area when, for reasons unknown, the vehicle flipped over knocking him unconscious. When officers arrived on scene, Luckey refused medical attention, but was taken into custody for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated, but alcohol is suspected to have been involved. Authorities say the victim was also not wearing a helmet or proper safety equipment.
Indiana Conservation Officers stress safe operation of ORVs and the use of proper protective equipment such as helmets.
