Columbus/Franklin, Stone Belt of Columbus, Milestones Clinical & Health Resources, and Centerstone will offer a workshop focused on new developments for therapists on Thursday, April 25, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. in the Columbus Learning Center, 4555 Central Avenue.
The morning session, from 10:00 a.m. until noon, will be offered by Anne Fletcher, associate of the Autism Interdisciplinary Training and Resource Center. General information about autism and spectrum disorder will be given. A comprehensive manual regarding diagnosis, treatment, rights, and family support will be distributed.
The afternoon session, from 1:00 until 3:30 p.m., will be presented by Bob Siegmann, Senior Vice President of Healthcare Integration and Collaboration at Centerstone. Topics of this workshop include the Affordable Care Act, the overlap between mental and physical illness, and bi-directional integration of behavior and physical health.
Lunch will be provided in the Columbus Learning Center Commons by the Ivy Tech Culinary program students. The cost is $5.00. Reservations should be made several days before the program for an accurate lunch count.
