The Beer and Bluegrass Festival will take place from 6:00 pm-10:00 pm on East Court Street. The event will include a classic car cruise-in on North Main Street, a classic movie at the Artcraft Theatre at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm, live bluegrass music, and food vendors. Local microbreweries including Flat12 Bierwerks, Fountain Square Brewery, Oaken Barrel Brewery, & Sun King Brewer will be present showcasing their unique flavors. Mallow Run Winery will also be available for wine tastings. Patrons can purchase a ticket, $15 pre-sale or $20 day of event, allowing 15 samples of various types of beer or wine. Participants can cash in 5 tickets for a 16 oz cup of their choice. Designated Drivers can purchase a ticket for $5.00 for unlimited soda, water and appetizers within the tasting area. Participants must be 21 years of age or older to enter the tasting area. Tickets can be purchased at the Johnson County Museum of History, all Heartland Community Banks, participating breweries and the Franklin Farmers’ Market. Live concert and food vendors will be available for people of all ages on East Court Street. This event is a collaboration and serves as a fundraiser for Discover Downtown Franklin, Inc. and the Johnson County Museum of History. Both organizations strive to enhance the city of Franklin and Johnson County for residents, visitors and potential investors.
