Franklin College will host its 34th annual Grizzly Grand
Prix Team Bike Race on Saturday, April 27 in the circle drive in front of
the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin, located at 690 State St.
Community members are invited to attend this free event. The women’s and
co-ed race will begin at 11 a.m. and is 16.5 miles in length. The men’s
race, 33 miles long, will immediately follow. In case of inclement weather,
the event will be postponed until Sunday, April 28.
The Grizzly Grand Prix is sponsored by Franklin College’s Student
Foundation. The college’s Student Congress will provide breakfast treats for
spectators beginning at 10 a.m.
Prior to the bike races, there will be a kite flying festival held on the
front lawn of the Indiana Masonic Home. Kites will be provided by Student
Foundation for those who wish to participate.
