COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Community Corrections Advisory Board met Friday morning and was updated on several programs under its purview.
Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Chris Lane relayed that the search for an in-jail drug treatment program coordinator was ongoing and that he is still soliciting resumes.
Rob Gaskill, director of residential services for the Community Corrections Center, reported that REALM, the drug treatment program for male inmates at the center, will have its first graduation in a few weeks.
Circuit Court Judge Kelly Benjamin informed the board that the newly created Drug Treatment Court is now functioning and has its first eight participants.
Finally, Superior Court 1 Judge Jim Worton said that the next Veterans Court graduation will take place on September 12, at 1 p.m. The public is invited.
